An interesting purchases at Watsons today.

1. Swallow Hot Oil Treatment Cream – PHP 89.75

 

Why I bought this? Its cheap and its small enough to try it myself. Why I am quite hesitant to use it? The ingredients fooled me. I thought there were no parabens on it. But after buying it and researching the ingredients, I found out that they use another name for it. If you can read it there are two kinds of parabens on it:

methyl-p-hydroxybenzoate OR IN SHORT Methlyparaben.

Propyl-p-hydroxybenzoate OR IN SHORT Propylparaben.

Wow I am saddened. I’ll let you know if I will use it or not. And what are parabens if you ask? lol sorry for not explaining it well. I think I shall post a separate post about it next time.

2. Silk Secrets Moisturizing Cracked Heel Cream – PHP 149.75

 

Okay this is a confession. I have this ugly hardened skin or callous in my fifth toe. Ugh. It’s embarrassing. I cant wear my sandals now. I self medicated it before thru the use of a salicylic acid patches. I thought it is just a fungi but no it’s not and the salicylic acid just made it worst. :( Now after researching, all I can do is to soften the skin and just file it every now and then. Unless I bring it to a professional doctor on which I am not thinking right now. Not yet. I am hoping that this cracked heel cream will help. I don't have a cracked heel but I am assuming that my fifth toe will also benefit from this? Let’s see…The ingredients are safe enough. No parabens.

Finally here is a picture of my newly cards: Unionbank EON card and Odesk Debit Card.

Woot. They are not yet activated mind you. The odesk card was here first but after careful consideration, I think using Union Bank EON card is much a better option for me. Lower cost and safer. For EON card, the teller suggested to activate it this saturday.

Oh by the way, it is my first time to use Globe Gcash today. Meaning, I was able to encash my gcash funds today. I did it in a Globe Telecom Center. I just had to prepare a valid ID. They asked me to fill out a form then they will send a message thru my phone, I have to reply back my pin and voila, the cash is with me after few minutes. This is the manner of payment from my mystery shopping stint. It was enlightening haha. I paid a fee of 10 pesos for my funds.

My fingertip eczema is acting up again and I am having a hard time holding things especially washing my hands. It dries quickly and scales a lot. :( I think its because of my high sodium diet…and also stress. Sigh..The aloe vera that I bought (see picture) didn't help much. I am not sure if its harsh on my skin but my eczema occurred after using this…Probably the ingredient, Benzyl Alchohol triggered it…what a waste. I love aloe vera plus this product is from healthy options.

Apologize for not blogging recently

Oh no. Real life issues are really making me busy nowadays.

Anyway for my homebased job. Yes I am still doing it. I currently have 4 buyers. Two of them are active. I am still waiting for the other inactive buyer to email me about our ebook project. I hope its going to happen because I love to write an ebook. wew big challenge! The other inactive buyer is i dont know. He is my biggest payer but well there's no projects recently...Wonder what will happen to me hehe.

As for my mystery shopping stint, I AM LOVING IT! I get paid to eat and also I am able receive a token for my review yehey hehe. Although I havent been paid yet, which I am hoping to get it next month on the third week (payout), I already made 3 mystery shopping for this month! wow i never thought it would be so much fun. I feel like Inspector Gadget haha.

For my Isotretinoin Update, thank goodness I finally visited my derm last saturday! He put glycolic peel for my face and wow it feels so refreshing. He said that my Isotretinoin course is done and he also commented about my question regarding the oilyness.

THAT'S NORMAL! YOU NEED THE OIL TO AVOID WRINKLES.

Oh yeah he's sort of right. Quite relieved about that for as long as I am not breaking out.

I asked him if there would be relapses?

He said, 20% of people will take the drug again. OH NO. I really hope I am not included in those percentage in the future. Six months---This is the timeframe he said. We will monitor my skin within 6 months. If it's okay, then Istosotretinoin is crossed out. I really hope so. But I will try not to stress much about it.

Look what's inside my mailbox

My mailbox has schizophrenia. Look, you can see some bad news like (Candidacy ended from oDesk and messages from the buyer itself telling me: YOU ARE NOT WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR. Duh nice move to ditch after interviewing me huh?) But here's what to look forward to, another buyer just suddenly hired me without undergoing any interviews. How's that huh? First time to do an hourly basis rate. Hope I can make it thru. Since I am no writer, the task itself is writing. Wow this is a challenge.

Also, see that pickjack message. Yeah pickjack is a paid to post site and yeah its legit but guess how much i earned. It didnt reach a dollar lol. Good news they didnt have any minimum payout but your earnings can decrease if you dont sign in and if you post nonsense questions like what I did. LOL I asked if Lady Gaga is a man hahah. :)) But those pay to post sites and pay to click sites are boring me because I am the type who likes to work in a more office setup way just like oDesk. But its still has a sentimental value to me. After all, my first payment is from a pay to post site which is the now defunk, Destroy Debt. Dont you ever think of signing up to Destroy Debt to earn money. Because it has stopped its revenue sharing since April 10 this year. If you are the type of surfer who loves posting and strolling around the WWW, try this one and you are rest assured you are paid in dollar or cents lol. Okay last but not the least, the mystery shopper thing at the bottom of my mailbox. See its really nice when people reply to you. It gives you more confidence to work hard.

I still have colds but I want to start with my oDesk assignment now.

✎ Swine Flu + oDesk update + Mystery Shopper + Kapitbahay + Opal Conditioner

So I have flu at the height of the level 4 pandemic, Mexican Swine Flu.
But its not really Swine, don't worry lol.

I guess I was just too tired from last week that's why my immune system didn't have the ability to fight from a viral infection.

I finished the oDesk job (the one I have told in my previous entry) in less than 2 days. Today, I was paid, $40.

I received numerous candidacy ended as well lol. And yeah it still hurts haha. :)

I can't make a "raket" because of my condition. :( BUT guess what? I received an email from this mystery shopping company and they hired me as their shopper. So by May 13, I am going to have an assignment at this fastfood store. Yipee! The raket is not that big but it excites me lol. More about this next entry. :)

Oh by the way, I recently told this story in girltalk. I have this pasaway na kapitbahay. They nurtured a pig inside their backyard and what's even worst is that they used our own WALL as the pig's house. After numerous of stress from the smell and the pig's noise, I bravely went to our municipality and told them to inspect their house but with the confidentiality of our name. They agreed but if the pig's owners would file the case in legal court, they might need more our assistance and would want to reveal our anonymity. Gosh, sounds really scary right?

By the way, I bought Opal One Minute Treatment (Fuscia color) as recommended by my fellow gtalkers. Smells nice! Will post more about it next time.
